Do228 NXT manufacturer General Atomics AeroTec Systems on international trade fair tour in 2025

An important year lies ahead for General Atomics AeroTec Systems (GA-ATS) with the market launch of the Do228 NXT. As a result, the German aircraft manufacturer is increasingly focusing on participating in trade fairs in 2025 in order to raise awareness of the new turboprop aircraft among international customers.

In the first half of 2025, the company will participate in three major aerospace and defense industry trade shows. The Do228 NXT OEM's team of experts will be on site at DEFEA 2025 in Athens, LIMA 2025 in Malaysia and the Paris Air Show to answer questions about the new aircraft.

A global presence for a versatile special mission aircraft

The Do228 NXT is a versatile and reliable aircraft that is used for special missions as well as for passenger and cargo transportation. The Do228 NXT builds on the proven design of the Do228 and is characterized by technical innovations, modern components and an optimized supply chain. Thanks to its numerous special characteristics, the aircraft has been in successful operation worldwide for decades. Its impressive short take-off and landing capabilities, as well as its ability to operate on unpaved runways, allow operators extreme flexibility. Missions can be reliably carried out across the entire speed spectrum, from slow, long-duration surveillance flights to fast transports. Both the range and the flight duration can be adjusted as required and never fail to impress.

The presence at international trade fairs in 2025 underlines the global orientation of GA-ATS. With its versatile mission and equipment options, the Do228 NXT is suitable for operations anywhere in the world. For example, the aircraft can be used to reach small islands in South-East Asia, approach short runways in the Himalayas, reach unpaved airfields in Africa or fly missions in the Arctic climate of Northern Europe.

The participation in LIMA 2025 is an important milestone for the German aircraft manufacturer: for the first time, General Atomics AeroTec Systems will be present at an Asian trade fair. The Asian market is particularly interesting for the operation of the Do228 NXT, as the aircraft is ideally suited for use in this region thanks to its versatility and, above all, its short take-off and landing capability (STOL capability).

Focus on international markets

The presence at these three trade fairs is part of General Atomics AeroTec Systems' long-term corporate strategy. “By participating in these events, we enter into a direct dialog with potential customers worldwide and can discuss the benefits of the Do228 NXT in person,” explains Florian Rohe, Managing Director of GA-ATS.
